TECTAVO is an innovative additive that elevates your bitumen roofing membranes to the next level. The synthetic Fischer-Tropsch wax consists of pure hydrocarbon, provides chemical stability and is even more effective, cost-efficient and sustainable.
Sasol’s Fischer-Tropsch waxes are successfully being used in bitumen for more than 20 years, mainly in asphalt road construction. Our product range includes the No. 1 asphalt additives SASOBIT and SASOBIT REDUX.

With TECTAVO every bitumen roofing membrane can withstand hot temperatures or strong impacts. Thanks to its high degree of crystallinity it significantly improves the resistance to permanent deformation such as walking on the
roof at high temperatures.
DURABILITY

TECTAVO has a real anti-aging effect on roofs. The addition of Fischer-Tropsch wax increases the tensile strength of the
bitumen membrane. The result is a strong protection against damages for long-lasting durability. 50% of bitumen ageing occurs while the roofing membrane is being produced. Warm mix technologies can reduce short-term ageing significantly while considerably extending the service life of bitumen membrane.
